About Salad

Born and raised in Denton, TX, I grew up knowing I wanted to be an artist. I took every art class my parents would allow, eventually landing on my love for painting.

In 2014 I packed up my car with what I could, including my mini pig, Mosh Pit (his portrait is tattooed on my arm), and left my home town for new adventures in Portland, OR, where I’ve been settled ever since.

Pulling influences from outer space, Lisa Frank, and my own sleepy dreams, my art lives in a colorful world of ethereal surroundings and abstract structures.

As a visual learner and empath, it’s natural for me to process and convey feelings, thoughts, and curiosities into something optical and tangible. I attribute giant blobs to the largeness of feelings, wavy lines to the ebb and flow of life, and the color scale to the range of emotion.

My art is colorful, profound, humorous, playful, vulnerable, and curious,

all of which I strive to be every day.
